Adjusting wedge lubrication?

When installing a new brake adjusting wedge in my front backing plate, should I pack the inside with grease before putting on a new dust cap? I've seen places that don't mention it, but say to use brake lubricant.

I use high temp grease on all moving parts, and the wedge is a moving part.

A friend did a complete brake job and couldn't get one of the drums back on afterwards. He thought a drum had shrunk in the process. (Pretty hard to do.) A few of us suggested that the adjusting wedge was out too far. He took it all apart, cleaned the dirt out of the wedge, lubed it, and all went back together like new.

I put anti sieze on the threaded portion and a smear of high temp grease on the wedge itself.
