37 ford tie rod

A friend and I have pulled the front suspension out from under my 37 ford- install new spring schackels, redo springs and check and re shim spindles. I noticed the tie rod has a small curve at 1 end, the curve would be parell with the road, is it bent or should it be straight, shows no damage? Thanks, thought I would ask before I install it.

I have repro tie rod ends and they are not bent. I tried to attach a picture, with no success. If you want pics of mine, please send me your email in a PM.

(and I tried the recommendations for sending pics, to no avail)

You said tie-rod, do you mean tie-rod or tie-rod ends?

The tie rod should be straight so it can be rotated to dial in the toe-in.

Mart.

Thanks Mart, I did mean tie rod, the ends are ok, it's the bar inbetween them one side has a slight curve in it.

Then as Mart posted, it needs to be straight.

The drag link will have a bend, but the tie rod is straight.
