Autolite 216 gap?

My flathead for my 46 V8 is using the 216 Autolite plugs. What is a good gap for these? Are the Champion H10's a better choice, same gap as autolites? Thanks

I'm old-fashioned. To me, Champions belong in Fords, Autolites in Plymouths and ACs in Chevys. Nowadays, of course, we are much more ecumenical!! I don't know any reason why the plug gap should be different among brands. If you like Autolites, go for it!!!

I Use the Autolites, with no more than .027" for the gap. I had a round of problems with the HT side of the ignition and always like to limit the HT load by not going mad on the plug gap.

Mart.

The Autolite 437's I recently installed in my Offenhauser heads were .025 right out of the box.

Huh.. that contradicts what msd's I instructions say... higher compression the tighter the gap... started at .050 and dropped to .045 when I bumped compression
