Re: Not a FH but big What - no dolls??
Seriously; those stationary engines are cool! |
Re: Not a FH but big Way cool. That little replica fairbanks looking motor can go for good money, Besides being easy to tote around. I used to have a few of those, my favorate was a oil rig 4hp witte... but currently down to a couple. My most original is a 1927 McCormick-Deering 1.5hp with the original skids that ran a little town well in Michigan. The other is an International (yes International ((McCormick side)) and John Deere were the same company at one time) "iron pig" a 40's hp version of the 27 but with working valves like a model A. Or a throttler popular with the icecream venders as those shows.
Both of my my motors are not hit and missers, They are technically throttlers as the governor only changes the carb butterfly and not the mag fire. An interesting site to bum around on. https://www.smokstak.com/ Some of these guys hire helicopters to pull old mining machines out of the hills. Crazy stuff. . |
Re: Not a FH but big I used to go to fort meade fl for the flywheelers, good show.
This motor ran a whole factory by belt line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN_LBFR9oxU Safety precautions was don't stick your hand there ya dumb a$$ . |
