52 ford f1 fill up

When stopping for fuel ,adding fuel,I stop later down the road and the filler neck always drools fuel and I didn't even fill it to the top! Any solution for this?

Did you drive down a rough or angled road, is the tank baffled, is the gas cap vented, and what temperature is it in the cab, has there been a major temp shift?

Where is the leakage? End of tube? At the rubber sleeve?

Fuel pumped from a tank 20 feet below ground is cool.
When you add it to your tank it warms up and expands. I have learned not to fill it to the top, unless I am going cross country. It is parked on the street which is crowned so gas runs out when it parked. My solution is when guage indicates 1/4 full I add 10 gallons plus 4 OZ. MMO.

The leak is down my truck ,it's not coming from the cap, maybe I got to torque on the clamps holding the rubber sleeve!!

I,m also working on getting my gauges to work,so then I won,t feel the need to top it off all the time!

I let the station's pump kick off the nozzle, which usually occurs when the gas is up to the bottom of the fill tube. No problems with sloshing. I replaced the rubber sleeve where the tank and filler tube join, and bought a modern vented locking gas cap: Stant 10491
