AR Fenders I just picked up a rear fender for my 29 sedan, an AR 28, seems to be shaped different at the rear of the fender. My other fenders are more shovel shaped and this one seems to be more round. Is there differences between the AR front fenders and later 28/29 fenders also?

Re: AR Fenders You are correct.

Re: AR Fenders Thanks for the reply, can you give me a hint what the front differences would be

Your are most likely wanting to know what the different designs were for 1927 through 1929 front fenders. The major change was the frame flange (design 1 had a 7" frame flange, design 2 had a 5-3/4" frame flange, and design 3 had a 3-1/8" frame flange). Your can read/see the design differences at http://aafords.com/aa-chassis/aa-16000-fenders/#fffsb. This site is for the AA Fords. But, the front fenders used on the AA's were A chassis fenders for 1927-1929. |
Re: AR Fenders Thanks Neil, that answered my concerns. I have two sets of fronts and would of course want them to match. Am i correct about the earlier rear fender having a different shape on the bell or rear of the fender?
