Re: 1928 Assembly line videos Haven't seen any torque wrenches, just wondering if cotter pins were dealer installed item done as a pre sale prep item so it didn't slow down assy. line with workers doing this detail work, or were they installed at end of assy. line.

Re: 1928 Assembly line videos Torque wrenches didn't see real use till late 1930's. P.A.Sturtevant who was associated with Kwik-Way co. in Iowa was working with the Chrysler corporation to develop torque wrenches. They had a company in Addison, Il. where I live. Was later merged with Dresser Industries and Richmont.
