Some of you ford barners should plan on taking a holiday down here. Lots of car shows, good people, and plenty of old cars. We walk upside down and drive on the wrong side
of the road, and yeah there's the odd earthquake, but don't let that put you off.

My Wife and I spent over a month in NZ back in 1995, on our 40th anniversary, and always intended to go back for another stay, but never made it. Yes I remember driving on the wrong side of the road, and the wrong side of the car, and yes we walked upside down. We visited both Islands, and petty well covered them from tip to tip, over 5000 miles. Stayed at bed and breakfasts, and met a lot of wonderful people. Everyone was so very friendly. Saw a lot more of old Fords than I thought would have been there, most all were RHD, never got to meet any of the owners. So all I can say is enjoy your time there!

I'd also love to have a look through there one day - have heard lots about it.
I believe the first early V8 I ever drove is in there - a 1932 roadster and would like to see it again. Was pretty hooked on V8s after that day...

Maybe this is the one. It's the only one in his collection [among many, many FORD V8's]

Correct, that's the one - I'll try and attach a photo of me as a 16 year old just before I was told I could take it for a spin! Being right into Model A's back then, it was like driving a Model A hotrod.

I had my Dad in the passenger seat and it was as much a thrill for him too. He died not long after.

That's one car I would love to buy for sentimental reasons but a '32 roadster will most likely be out of my reach forever!
