Antique Ford Car Show in Ft. Myers Fl on Saturday 2/3/2018
 

The Annual Antique Ford Car Show at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Ft. Myers FL is this Saturday, February 3, 2018.

The flyer indicates over 100 antique Fords will be on display.

This venue is the lawn, riverside, at the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Retreat homes, in Lee County Florida.

I have never visited the Museum/homes. I heard about the Car Show last week from a friend who lives in Ft. Myers.

Has any Barner been to the show in years past? Any insight regarding parking/logistics/show reviews? Thank you Ed Williamson

Very nice show. closer to 150 Fords. Plenty of parking beautiful property

I was able to visit the homes/museum last year. I stumbled on them and never knew anything about the place. It's totally worth a trip if you have never been there.
Having a car show on the grounds would be a huge bonus.

Give yourself plenty of time to do the show and the grounds as well. Lots of stuff to see. Enjoy.

Only been to Florida once, but as Granny used to always say when going there 'Watch out for snakes' and she was always dead serious! She had spent a lot of time there over the years.

I've been to Fla 22 times, each time for 4-5 weeks, and have never seen a snake (alive and in the wild). And I did dozens and dozens of outdoor car shows, parks, evrglades, etc. Maybe you'll get more lucky to see a bear...

What I did see were lots of dolphins in the see (west coast)

Is there a Flea market at this show?
I'm in Orlando now, heading to Vero Beach on Thursday. I could fit this show in with my schedule, but would like to know if car parts are available.

Jeff: From all I have heard, this is just a show, no flea market, on the grounds of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. Admission to the houses and Edison's lab are included with car show admission.

Hello All
I am now vacationing on Ft.Myers beach.Just about 5 miles from the Ford car show.The local papers advertised the admission fee.At $20 person i think i will pass.I am not a cheeppee but $40.00 for me and my wife is a little crazy for a car show.It may include the Edison grounds that i have seen before.
I think i will open my own garage door and see my own car show.Is this car show stuff out of hand?

First off, let me say I have absolutely no financial interest in the Edison & Ford Museum. I was in Ft. Myers last week on business and learned that the homes where Thomas Edison, and his good friend Henry Ford, vacationed during the winter were open to the public.

I then went to the web site and learned that there was an antique car show tomorrow, Saturday, February 3. Not only antique cars, but a show restricted to antique Fords.

As for the price, it is $20.00 per person for adults, less for kids and teens. However you do get to tour the houses, see the grounds and gardens, and see Thomas Edison's lab. This is on the river in Ft. Myers. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, more than 100 antique cars. Sounds like a bargain to me.

By the way, the tour of the houses and grounds on a typical day is $25.00 per head for a self guided audio tour, and more for a guided tour. So tomorrow will actually be a discount off the typical cost.

I've wanted to go, but, didn't realize it was so soon. I doubt I'll make it tomorrow, maybe next year.
