Fan I determined that I have a blown head gasket between 2 and 3 cylinders.I have a four blade fan and going to install the thrust collar in front to eliminate end play. Was debating going back to 2 blade fan making it easier to removed waterpump in future.Never had cooling issues. Actually runs cold even in hot weather. Appreciate opnions.

Re: Fan Two blade just because of the water pump. No need to kick your self later on.

Re: Fan Two blade
It's one thing all the looky-loos notice when looking at your engine, the other is the distributor and plug straps |

Re: Fan Two blade aluminum. After about 15 mph the fan really doesn’t do much anyway.
I agree also that it looks better. Enjoy. |
Re: Fan I convinced myself that the 6 blade is probably better balanced. Other than that, I can't tell the difference.

Re: Fan If you remove the studs from the head and use this kit it makes removing the water pump with the radiator in place easy.

Re: Fan Just beware, I replaced the 4-blade with a new 2-blade and it just touches the radiator hose now. Haven't yet pondered enough about what I'm going to do to remedy the situation. Maybe just put an extra set of rubbers under the radiator mounts to raise it up a hair.. I'm not running the hood anyway.
