An excellent film. Lots of processes not normally shown, for example the frame rivetting.

Thanks for posting, I had not seen that one before. That shot of the 22hp gearbox with 62 stenciled on the side reminded me of one I bought that was a full size V8 box and had 91 stenciled on the side. Late shift tower but early synchros.

Very interesting! Note at 2:30, tightening the head stud nuts... does not appear to follow the manual's torque sequence?

Glad I found it for you Mart. These Dagenham Fords would be of special interest to British v8ers. I've never seen a model 62 as our v8s in NZ came from Canada rather than the "mother country". We did get a lot of the "Five star Fords" and the little UK Fords though. I always wanted a "Dagenham Dustbin" (Mk1 Zephyr) when I was younger...my father put the kibosh on that as he said "I would kill myself" in one.

For me, the design/engineering of the machine tools used is even more impressive in the manufacturing process....

That was great, thanks. Never knew how they built radiators.

I've not seen that film before....there was a Model 62 in a farmyard near here for a few years.I saw it when I went to try and buy a 39 cabriolet, it was pretty rusty, I hope it got saved.

Excellent video.
Notice that the universal joint bolt was tightened by hand with a speed wrench - no torque wrench.

petehoovie: I too amazed at the machine tool design, even years ago.
