Y block valve seats help

Does anyone know how they come out or where to get hardened ones I don't want to waste the money on a machine shop it's a 292 they're all fried probably from the unleaded gas

Get out your welder and run a bead around the inner diameter of the seat. They'll shrink and fall out. If you don't want a machine shop to get them for you, start searching the internet. Do you have the equipment to install and grind the new seats?

Not trying to kick you out, but the later V8 stuff is catered for in the Late V8 section of the Barn. You ought to find people more conversant with the Y block stuff over there.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the Y block may not have separate seats from the factory.

Mart.

Yep, they didn't. the Y block had induction hardened seats. When you run a stone over the seat, check for cracks, there probably oK as is.

The exhaust valves aren't even sealing my engine oil is literally running into the exhaust pipe the have to be drilled and have to use inserts the machine shop said only 12 dollars a valve so I might as well just do that thanks for the advice anyway guys

The guides were warn bad, replace them and use som PC guide seals. You don't need seats ,unless they ar crackec. I must have done a dozen of them.
