Model A in TV series NCIS I spotted a coupe (modified street rod) in a television episode of NCIS last night. The car was driving way too fast to be factory stock. Many things jumped out at me, hood wings were missing, tires and rims wrong, clearance of fenders to tires too low, etc. But it caught my eye just the same.
I used to have a 1994 Land Rover Discovery. That company had an owner-following that would spot any land rover in any film and submit it. It was a fun adventure. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_244268-...el-A-1931.html Here is the link that describes the vehicle on the show. |
Re: Model A in TV series NCIS Quote:
That car has appeared before in earlier NCIS episodes. It is the car for Abby the goth forensic scientist. From the footage I've seen, easy to tell it's a hot rod built from a '31 coupe. |
Re: Model A in TV series NCIS Abby's car caught my eye as well. The scene started with a close up and I told my wife, "hey, that's a Model A!" I don't remember the car being on the show before. It looks like a well done hot rod. If you know NCIS, one wouldn't expect Abby to own a stock A!

Re: Model A in TV series NCIS Yep. Abby’s car was in earlier shows too.

Re: Model A in TV series NCIS The car actually belongs to the show's special effects guy.

Re: Model A in TV series NCIS Harmon is a Model A guy, he and his dad have restored several A's. The show has used a friend's place a few times on the show. Ron has an early A wheel holding up his mail box, and the first time Mark visited he asked about the AR wheel!

Re: Model A in TV series NCIS Somewhere there are pictures floating around of Mark Harmon in a 28 or 29 roadster pickup that he owned in his younger days.
