New MARC/MAFC Restoration Guidelines...
 

Could someone tell us just where the NEW revisions of the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards are in relation to being released? MARC? MAFCA?

The newest information according to the following, according to the N/D 2010 Model A News (MARC) is:

The French Lick meeting indicated that they would be available at Hershey in 2010...not.

San Deigo, this 2011, we will still be using the current standards.

Are they still going back and forth between the MARC and MAFCA JS committies? If so, just what are the major problems that the two committies are dealing with besides not agreeing with the original Ford data for which each committie has access to? (If that is the case).

Steve, I attended the most recent MARC Judging Standards meeting in Michigan and this topic was discussed at great length. The politically correct concensus I got was that both sides re a l l y would like to get it finished however they also want to make sure there are no errors or ambiguity in descriptions, so both sides are doing like Santa and making lists and checking them twice (--and more).

The revisions are at the editor and some sections have been returned to the Publication Committee for final approval. Currently, MAFCA & MARC representatives are completing the final details including selecting the printer.

waiting for something like these JS revisions is like waiting for the weather to change.

we can't do a darn thing to speed it up, so my plan is to forget about it and let my blood pressure stay down where I like it. I've got plenty of other things to keep me busy.

when the official announcement comes, it will be a relieving surprise, and I'll get my check in the mail immediately. ;)
