USA made U-Joint. 1 Attachment(s)
I am seeking information from any long time model A ford folks that may know of this brand of U-joint, and the quality thereof , it is clearly marked USA made, inside the box that is well worn, there is an application chart, the last listing is 1961, it is surplus to my needs, so I may consider selling it.
Any info much appreciated. |

Re: USA made U-Joint. Since the packaging is period, and it is USA made, I'd feel perfectly fine with it.

Re: USA made U-Joint. I think I have a used one like that. Will be for sale at the 2018 MAFCA national swap meet. June 24th 2018.

Re: USA made U-Joint. That brand of U-joint is a well made product and much better than anything made these days.

Re: USA made U-Joint. So, you say that there is an application chart, Have to wonder if it applies to model A.

Re: USA made U-Joint. Hi Pete,
You asked if the U-joint has bushings or needle bearings, it has bushings. |
Re: USA made U-Joint. Pilot was a well known manufacturer. They made king pins, hydraulic brake parts, and some front end parts. They are comparable to Thompson, McQuay Norris, Toledo, and Nylint.

Re: USA made U-Joint. I wouldn't be afraid to use it. Was it made in Milwaukee?

I have one (twin to yours :)). Luckily , a guy does not often have to swap/change out a U-joint. But, I have held onto this one forever...because made in USA and none better will ever come along, IMO. So, will continue it in storage, comforted knowing that it will be there if/when needed ! |
