1930 Cabriolet windshield holes

Hi,

Does anyone know why the windshield frame has two holes, one on each side way at the top that do not seem to do anything? There are 5 holes on the top piece above the driver side which are for the exterior mounted wiper and tube, but these on the top on each side I don't know what to do with them.

Thanks,

If they are on the face of the frame, there are two tiny flathead screws holding the top to the sides, these are in addition to the bar connector inside the frame connecting the top to sides. Two separate connection systems.

Thanks. I did not see threads but maybe it is for a flathead chrome screw and a flat nut behind? or I need to see if some screw fits.

Correct except I think the tiny screws are oval head. I'd have to check
