1939 Deluxe

I’m about 90% done restoring my 39 Deluxe. I started it in late 2014.I was able to get it back on the road last year but still had much to do.This summer I’ve been able to run it a fair amount.Been to a few shows but for the most part I’ve been enjoying driving it.I’ve gotten lots of help from “flatjack9”.He knows his stuff.I tried to keep it as close to stock as possible. Some of the changes are: dual exhaust with headers, tube shocks, modern paint, blinkers, 40 style hubs and drums, radial tires, aluminum radiator, tinted windows and a tach.I did install a Labaron Bonney interior and did all the wood graining myself.
I just started looking for my next project. A coupe or humpback.

Nice job - now get yourself a 39 standard coupe to go with it.

Nice job! It took me that long to do a new ring & pinion and all the bearings and seals and all new brakes.

Nice... I was just wondering, how did you mount the shoulder belts? Did you just use fender washers into the pillar?

Juliano's has nice instructions. They have a fitting that slides up into the pillar and is screwed into place.

That's nice, really nice interior. When I think of 39 that's the picture that's in my mind. Most people think of coupes but since that's the first car I ever remember riding in you nailed it.

That's a beauty and you should be very proud to cruise in that car as I'm sure you are!

39flyer, That is one beautiful car. Your interior is awesome. The toe boards, they look great! I'm using small carpet mats like yours on top of a rubber mat in my a '35, so the natural finish is interesting to think about.

Nice job Mike, but you should change those exhaust tips!
You're right about flatjack. He's saved my bacon many times.
