Best way to remove stuck pirch bolts on a 1940 front axle?

I posted a thread on the HAMB showing peches being pulled out rather than pushed out. They come out much easier with a pull.
I tried the candle wax idea. I had a rusted up mess where you could just make out the threads. I heated it up just a little and melted some wax on the part. The next morning I was ready for war. Got a big socket and rachet and put the part in the vice. I put the rachet on horizontal. It spun so it was hanging down. I assumed I had stripped it the day before. The wax had seeped into every crack and it was rust free.
I know Tardel is the master but I am not a fan of heating an axle up red hot. I worry about warpage.

You'd have heart failure if you watched them drop an axle! :) It's forged steel, heat is not going to hurt it.
