accelerator stream strength stromberg

How strong should the streams out of the J tubes be. Mine are like mine (age 76) and not like my grandson's age 12? thanks Bruce

Doubt that the strength of the stream is critical, it's the volume that is.

Re: accelerator stream strength stromberg

They're called discharge jets for a reason.
They come into play gradually during normal operation due to the hydraulic action of the accelerator pump on the powervalve. When you hammer the throttle, the checkvalve does it's job and you should see a heavy stream as the pump hits the pin on the powervalve and allows the pv to open all the way.
