Headlight wiring.

I have my bare headlight shell. new reflectors, bulbs, and all the other assorted pieces to connect to the wiring harness. The only problem is I have no idea how all these pieces fit together. Does anybody have a cutaway view of this?
TIA
Chris

So your reusing the lenses, cork gaskets, lens springs, rings etc?

Also I hope you got the new shells with the correct dome shape that brattons sells...otherwise your lights will be impossible to focus and be bright but dim at the same time.

if you got repo headlight sockets search on here about trying to make them less crappy before you install them.

I used the headlight sockets from Bert's along with a new harness and they all fit and work just fine.

You also need this part that slips into the socket in the bucket. It holds the connectors in place.

Les Andrews book has a cutaway view of the headlights..

Look at page 84 of Bratton's catalog.

If you have the original sockets don't throw them out. I wasn't at all happy with the new replacements I got and ended up carefully rebuilding the originals. Most of the reproductions I have seen have issues with the contact being loose and not contacting the bulbs in the right place.

I had bare buckets with not internal parts.
