Finally got the beast off the trailer and was cleaning out a couple rat nests and raised the seat and found this jack. It works great.

Is this a original jack for the 39 Ford Pickup?

Ford Motors did use some jacks like that back in the day but the crank handle suggests that it's a later model. It would work in a pinch though. Ford was using the round post type jacks in that time frame but I don't know about trucks.

I'd be afraid of that thing slipping off a rear axle.

It appears to be. When I get home tonight, I'll post a photo for you to compare...

See if this makes them any easier to view. Looks like a typical Ford truck jack for the later years, but no idea about 39. Kube is the expert!
