1938 Tudor standard Looking for someone I can converse with who owns a 38 Tudor stock or close to it. I have several questions on putting this car back together and need some answers that I don't find in manuals. Would really appreciate it.

Re: 1938 Tudor standard 3 Attachment(s)
Here is what my 1937 Fordor brake cable routing looks like.
The car, very similar to yours, is original stock configuration. The ridge in the metal piece at the top of the toe board allows the cable to pass. Hope these photos help you. |
Re: 1938 Tudor standard 2 Attachment(s)
This does'nt help any, but they are ''Still Out There'', although this is down here in NZ. Been in this shed for many year's and now being given a bit of a going over.

Re: 1938 Tudor standard Thanks for the pictures Tony M. I see now that I'm missing the two metal brackets for the toe board. I going to assume that the toe board has an indentation that allows the cable to pass thru between the toe board and the gasket?

Re: 1938 Tudor standard 1 Attachment(s)
Yes, the metal strip at the top of the wooden piece has a curved area allows the cable to pass.
It can be seen in this photo. |
Re: 1938 Tudor standard Thanks, Tony M. On the hunt for those pieces. If anyone knows or have's these pieces and willing to sell them let me know.
