New Member Questions on Shipping

I'm a new member and have some fenders to ship. What is the least expensive and easiest way to ship these cross-country? Thanks for any input.

Sorry, hit the wrong key. If there is a Fastenall branch near you check with them I have heard that they do branch to branch shipping at a reasonable cost

You can also post it on the following site and see if anyone bites. It depends a bit on origin and destination, and if they are boxed or not.

Greyhound bus lines are another reasonable source.

beware greyhound- they have lost 2 of my 15 packages- cheap, but make sure you insure.

If I remember right I shipped a pair of coupe fenders via greyhound to Jersey and they made it.

Re: New Member Questions on Shipping

I recently shipped a pair of front fenders from Nebraska to upstate New York. Fastenal was the least expensive way to go. They were very nice fenders so I crated each of them up separately. I think that Fastenal would probably be okay with them packaged a little less fastidiously. I checked with Greyhound and they wanted the fenders packed in a way that there was absolutely no chance of luggage riding along with them damaged in any way. Perhaps it was just the gent at my Grey Hound depot but I think he would have made me wrap my shipping boxes in bubble wrap. Too many hoops to jump through with him.

I use Fastenal often.
As long as you crate the fenders
with no overhang on a skid you should be fine.
They do offer insurance for added cost, but
you must crate or you have to wave the insurance.
Rates are very good. I used them at least 10 times. NO problems.
