29 Phaeton front seat adjustment I have a '29 standard Phaeton, the problem is that the front bench seat will not adjust back to allow for a more comfortable driving position. Is it possible to modify the front seat to allow for adjustment? Will universal seat tracks do the trick? Has anyone done this modification? HELP!

Re: 29 Phaeton front seat adjustment You didn't mention if it was tudoor or a four door. I have a 30 Phaeton and there is no way to adjust the seat. I took the back rest and seat cushion out and tied down the springs with bailing wire to gain a little more room. It helped some. It's just the way the cars built. I think you will find other posts on this in the search tool top of the page.

Re: 29 Phaeton front seat adjustment 1929 only made four door phaeton

Re: 29 Phaeton front seat adjustment The seat back is a formed part of the body, so it's not adjustable. The only thing to reasonably do is shorten the seat and back springs or use a thin foam pad instead of springs.
