Another '40 wiring question. The '40 has what maybe retrofitted turn signals. The switch is on the column, and it appears like when the rewired it, they wired them into 2 filament bulb sockets in the headlight & taillight areas. The front ones are straightforward, but the rear ones look like they run the turn signal through the stoplight circuit, so you have the stoplight filament doing double duty. Anyone have a diagram of how that might be wired up. ? Thank you Fordbarners.

Re: Another '40 wiring question. Run a wire from each stop light wire at rear of car to controller and one from controller to switch on cold side of stop light switch on back of master cylinder switch. That's what the instruction sheet shows on the one I installed on my 41 and the brake light works on one side and the stop light on the other. Did away with parking lights on front and use them for turn signals. Hope this helps, mine work fine, I just can't remember to turn the damn things off after turning. Al

Re: Another '40 wiring question. 3 Attachment(s)
There are some differences by supplier, but they are all wired somewhat similar. I drew up a diagram a while back that might be of some help. The Brake and Turn Signal use the same filament, so the original wire from the brake switch is cut and run to the turn signal.
