Do you have a part that is the original color? If so, I paint store should be able to match it.

Unfortunately, I do not.
I will caution you though... many companies that offer Folkstone do not replicate it well. It should not appear tan.

It is truly gray.

I had my 39 pick up painted Folkstone gray, the cab to my eyes came out perfect, however after I ordered /built my bed and had that painted several years later it was a hard shade to match up.

When I pick up my fenders I will ask what they used for a mix.

Try this out:

If you go to the G B Y on the left you can see the various images.

The problem is getting a good match using today's paint. Paintref.com is informative but doesn't give a formula that can be mixed today. Thanks for the input.

When you look at the old Dupont and PPG paint formulas, they will list so much of this color and a pinch of that color and they are all period named colors. They are not mixing colors. They change the names for colors about every 10 or 15 years so you don't know what the named color was plus they were using acrylic enamels or lacquers that are no longer available. The only way you can go is to find an exact replica of the color somewhere on a large enough example for a good match man to duplicated it from your favorite supplier in your favorite type of paint.

I've heard both good and bad from TCP global but at least they try. No one else does that I'm aware of. If they were next door to you , you could always go back and get the stuff changed when it isn't right but not so much when they are five states or an ocean or two away from you.

Re: Folkstone Gray color match

My 32 delivery is Folkstone Grey from the original formula I go from PPG converted to a modern formula and it is a very light shade of tan with a grey cast depending on the light. I've seen a Bedfod 40 Ford restoration that is Folkstone Grey and it has a tan cast to it like my delivery. Henry's colors were confusing to say the least, Cloud Mist Grey sure looks Green to me? I personally like where I landed.
