46-48 convertible top pump
 

Where and how is the convertible pump mounted on a 46-48 ford or mercury?I'm building a 40 conv.and am using the later air over hydraulic system,but am undecided where and how the mount the pump.

It mounts on the lower left side of the firewall. You can but the mounting kit from most suppliers and make your own 90 degree brackets. But since you are not going original I would buy a pump from Hydr E Lectric in Florida and mount it under the back seat close to the cylinders. With the 46-48 pump you will Also need the control valve because those pumps are not reversible . Just my opinion
