Light Torque Areas Should be Checked I had a reason to be under my car and noticed some oil leaks. I checked the bolts on the valve cover, the oil return tube and the oil pan. On some of them I got an entire turn or more.
I know the torque values on these are pretty light...so just saying perhaps they should be annually checked. |

Re: Light Torque Areas Should be Checked I cut the page out of last year's Bratton's catalog where he lists all of the torque specifications, taped it to the cabinet in the shop and used it routinely as I reassembled my engine. Only missing value was for the bolts that attach the flywheel housing to the block.
