No Mo Moss for me.

CW Moss have a few parts that work. They were the only ones that had the correct speedometer cable to fit my original housing. Yeah I try to stay away from Vintique parts after seeing the radiator hoses they have in a bag that are hard as a rock.

I'll probably start calling Bert's in the future from reading here the good comments.

I don't want to turn this in to a CW Moss/Vintique bashing but I just wanted to warn others that Snyder's, Bert's and other vendors sell Vintique parts that are not even close to being correct. Case in point Vintique's cowl light arms. The hole spacing is wrong for the original light buckets and they point out, like a wall-eyed frog. Terrible parts.

True Snyder's and others sell Vintique parts that don't work. I bought a pair of the window seal whatever they are that are aluminum with the rubber wiper made to fit under the garnish molding. No instructions included in the package because they don't fit. I'd sure like to know if or how the side windows sealed on a 28 or 29 Tudor.:(

Those window seals fit under the inside window frame.
I think Rusty Nelson posted some pictures of them recently, but I don't recall the name of the thread.

I was able to make the Vintique cowl lights work, but it took some of the MacGuyver in me to do it.

Sacramento Vintage isn't exactly Southern California, but it is Southern for me anyway.

I'll have to search that on the window seals pictures or maybe somebody here can post them in this thread? I just can't figure out how they would work under the inside window frame. I do know the notches cut in the aluminum fit around the D nuts where the garnish molding screws down.

Re: Model A Parts Vendor in SO CAL

I've been to CW Moss a few times recently. Small stuff only, like gear oil.

Moss has completely changed their store. They have expanded and they are creating large areas just for Model A's. I was told that they have invested over $200,000 on the store overhaul.

They even won the auction for the complete Model A chassis at the Orange County Model A Pancake Breakfast a couple weeks ago. I assume to put on floor display in their Model A area.

I was told that they understood the competition is out there and that they needed to perform to survive. I told them that their reputation is not the greatest...they said they understood.

I told them that, for me, 'Made in USA' was very important and that the shops that sold USA parts would have my business. They replied that they were getting as much USA parts as possible.

Yes, they carry Vintique, but so do most Model A shops. And yes, a lot of their business is rod parts.

I'll continue to buy there for now, albeit for small items.

I walked into Sac Vintage a couple weeks ago with a list of 17 small items from their catalog. They had two of them in stock.

The reason for my search is I had a small order for fourteen bucks worth of small stuff from Snyder's, A company I like, But the shipping was fifteen bucks.

Chris,

I don't know where you're located, but the Early Ford Store in San Dimas has new and used parts. Unfortunately, most of their new parts are Vintique. You can check their catalogue on line for new parts but you have to call or go in to check their used inventory. www.earlyfordstore.com

Vintique and CW Moss are the same company. CW Moss is the retail store for Vintique Inc. junk.

Many years ago we had Valley Ford Parts in North Hollywood, CA. After he moved to TX I am surprised that no one else has opened a store in this area of 1.8 Million people.

I have gone to CW Moss for a couple of items when I needed them quickly. For the small things I have purchased there, the parts have been fine. If I don't need the parts right away (can wait a few days), I prefer Snyders, Brattons, or Berts. Having said that, I would buy from Moss if needed.
