ammeter glass replacement I am restoring a few original ammeters picked up cheap at swap meets because the glass lens was cracked or broken. Does anybody know where I can purchase replacement glass lenses for ammeters? Thanks!

Check the second hand stores for some. Hardware stores used to carry flashlight and gauges glass. |

Re: ammeter glass replacement Find a glass shop, or someone that does stained glass, they can cut you new replacements.

Re: ammeter glass replacement Hobby Lobby sells packages of round and square glass in various sizes.
If you find a glass that is just a little too big and will not go in, get a knife sharping stone and put some oil on it and rub the glass on the stone until it fits. |
