Open trailer towing..

"29 Special Coupe being transported on an open trailer.. about a 2 hour drive,
what's your "opinion", Forward facing on the trailer.. or to the rear.?

Forward. The front of the car is designed to handle the wind better than rearward. JMO. Jeff

Forward. In addition to what Jeff said, the weight balance will be better.

Forward facing and cover the w/s, and headlights. I covered mine with cutout circles cut from an old corrugated yard sign. Used 2" blue painters tape to hold them on.

Someone said semi truck cab wind deflectors ( cab top to trailers) make good deflector for open trailers and are cheap!

Re: Open trailer towing..

I agree with all the above. I have trailered Model A's for over 24 years always facing Forward. My trailer has a large deflector dam in front which prevents damage from flying objects. I have trailered Model A's as far as from Texas to Georgia and Maryland to Georgia.
