1928 Tudor interior panels?
 

I'm trying to install the interior panels on my 28 Tudor. I am fitting the panels above the doors and the small panel on the B pillar between the door and quarter window. My question is, how are these panels held in place after they are upholstered? I searched, but could not find the info I needed.

They are installed with small headed brads, and then the cloth is carefully pulled over the head of the brad with a needle. The detailed instructions are included in Lebaron Bonney kits.

Not anything to do by yourself. You should have someone with you holding the strip above the door. I recommend not seating them all the way at first either. If you need to adjust the panel, you want to be able to remove it. Once you're happy with the fitment, drive them home and pull the fabric over with the needle like Bill says

I set the brads with a hard wood dowel, to JUST below the fabric. Using a punch, it's easy to drive the head clear through the "cardboard" panel & say, "OH SHIT"!!!---And the panel falls OFF!!

I've trimmed several cars and covering the "panels" before fitting them is not the way to go. The way they were done in the day by tradesmen was to tack the edge of the fabric face down to the pillar close to the edge, then the fibre board panel is placed in position and tacked down. Once that is done, the fabric is folded over the panel so that the front of the fabric is now facing you and the edge is tucked under the board with a thin piece of steel like a rule or spatula. This obviously covers the heads of the tacks used and leaves the whole thing SECURELY attached to the pillar with no tacks or nails showing.
Difficult to describe with only words but I could find no video demonstation on the net.

You can purchase a combo air stapler / brad nailer from lowes or such.. when it shoots In the brad the head passes through the fabric.. quick and easy
