37 pickup bed frame Does anyone have a picture of the bare frame for a 37 bed mounted on a chassis with the wooden blocks correctly placed underneath? A shot of a complete bed on frame from underneath might also work to point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Re: 37 pickup bed frame Yes, thanks Scott. So u put the bolt right through the bed floor where there is no cross member in the bed frame? I was originally thinking it goes through the bed cross member it front of the gas tank but that didn't make sense when I tried it. Did u also put a bolt through the bed floor and into that cross member? Thanks again for your help.

Maybe these will help some. These are for 40-41. Don't think there is much difference.

Re: 37 pickup bed frame If you are using a reproduction bed -- early ones did not have the right angle for the frame of the bed matching the contour of the vehicle frame
There is suppose to be a rear cross member between the rear frame rails. There should be 4 mounting places on each side of the bed. Three use the special head bolts with the square hole in them and the last one (at the end of the bed toward the cab) was a carriage bolt. |
Re: 37 pickup bed frame 1935-37 the rear mount bolt through the block was just in the middle of the bed, no crossmember.
1938-41 are quite a bit different... they have wood cross blocks front and rear. |
