I've got working '40 clocks that I would sell for that price. '40 clocks have become real pricey in the last year. I put a nice working '41 clock in the glove box door of my '41 pickup. Bought the '41 clock for $25 on e-Bay. Goes to show you what a difference a year makes with old Ford parts.

I would like to find one for my '40 Standard Sedan. Even if it didn't work it just looks kool !

Standards did not have a mounting hole for the clock in the glove box door. $180.00 I don't feel that is too bad for a working original clock with good glass, trim and knob plus the rear mounting bracket.

I put clocks in both my standard '40s. Just use the deluxe glove box door, weld up the trim holes, paint to match your dash, and install a clock. I've also made battery powered clocks by using old junk clock housings (you cut a slot in the back for access to the battery after careful measurements). You can buy the clock motors (buy the one with the shortest shaft you can find) on e-Bay for $5-10. Buy a new face ,plastic trim, clock knob, have a piece of glass cut, and you now have a working clock for less than $80. The clock motors come with plastic hands and you can trim them to look like original 40 hands. The hands can be painted a very light ivory color like the originals. They keep perfect time and the battery can last up to 2 years.
