Antique Ford truck ID needed

I'm sure I'm in the wrong forum, so pardon the intrusion!

Can any of you shed some light on which type (and possibly the approximate year) of this classic? In case the picture doesn't show up here, it is located at:

I think it is a 28-29 Model AA due to the spoked wheels but I'm not sure, as its has rear fenders, which may had been an option for the military, but I haven't seen them on some other AAs I've seen. I don't know that much about Ford trucks during those years!

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Christos

I was at an auction in western Minnesota a few years ago and they had a 1928 AA with the long running boards and rear fenders. That was the best unrestored AA I'd ever seen and someone got a bargain at just over 2 grand. No dents, no cracks, no welds, no missing parts, and no rust other than a spec of surface rust in a few spots. That would have been a real easy restoration, or just drive it as is.

Many of the rear fenders got tossed when the flatbed was made for the frame, or later if they fell off in the field, they just got tossed into the weeds.

That brings back a lot of good memories, I had a twin to it 25 years ago. Mine was a bulk U.S.Mail truck the two front tires still has U.S.Mail branded on the sidewall as an anti theft deturent. The fellow I sold it to finished the restoration and brought it back to let me test drive it. They are a rather slow vehicle, and this one had the high speed rear NOT the worm drive that was really slow.

Believe that '28 was the only model year the AA had wire-wheels ( leftovers used in '29 notwithstanding).

Would 've liked to have grabbed that one in Minnesota that Tom mentioned...
