Rear spindle keyway damage 1 Attachment(s)
Key fits tight in keyway, but I'm a little concerned about the chipping. I would like to at least put new seals in the axle housings and check other components out while I'm in there. Question is, is the axle chipping excessive enough to warrant the need for a good replacement ?

Re: Rear spindle keyway damage I wouldn't worry about that. Just be sure the taper is clean and dry when the hub goes back on.

Re: Rear spindle keyway damage Mike, when I pulled the hubs off there were no keys in it . Not sure if it was ever driven like that, but the brakes seemed to work good. Had friends pull me around with 4 wheelers (My Avatar) and was a very fun day to say the least. Can't wait till the day I finally get to drive a Model A. Only been waiting for 30 years now, but I got a good feeling this year:rolleyes:
