MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... I would like to thank you for a JOB WELL DONE in compiling and updating our Model A/AA "bible" of Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards.
Now each and every one of you can sit back and relax untill the next go-around in 10-15 years from now. Each section was masterfully researched and will give us a better idea of the correct assembly and history of how the Model A/AA Ford all came about. I am sure that other avenues and more research will be done in the future, more questions will arise, but until they do, each and every one of you can be assured that your contribution and hard work will NOT go unnoticed....It is well worth the money! All went together perfectly! GREAT JOB AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! Pluck |

What some people may not realize or think about is this,..when the next revision takes place in 20??, the material for that is being compiled and RESEARCHED now....it never stops! |
Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... Steve,
I agree with and thank all the folks who do this time consuming research for the rest of us. Also, give yourself a huge pat on the back for all that you do for the hobby. Dave |
Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... Not only the chairpersons but all the people that worked on the committees or research projects. The chairpersons are only as good as the expertise they surround themselves with. Wayne.

Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... With the much anticipated hoopla regarding the new 'Revisions' of the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards, and knowing what an already staggering accumulation of information about the Ford Model A previous 'Standards' had in them - I was curious as to what other antique car clubs had for their equivalent restoration standard guidelines.
I found that national marque clubs for older antiques and classics like AACA, CCCA, MTFCA, Buick, Chevrolet, Chrysler Corp., etc. had nothing close to the overwhelming body of detailed information that has been accumulated by the dedicated afficianados of the Ford Model A. What we have in this body of accumulated facts about our beloved Model A is truly staggering and monumental ! As has been said, A great round of thanks and applause is due these tireless and dedicated volunteers that have given so much of their lives to the love of the hobby, and to future generations of Model A owners. Hip, Hip, Hooray ! ! ! |

Check out the judging sheets for SAAC and MCA (Shelby and Mustangs) TOB |
Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... I don't know of any other car make even close to what we have for the Model A.
I was hoping for something similar for Studebaker, but nothing so far. |

And still the complainers will come forward as they always do. Wayne |
Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... Terry, post # 7: " . . . SAAC and MCA (Shelby and Mustangs)"
________________________ Terry, while both the Shelby and the Mustang are highly regarded marques, most antique car hobbyists do not think of the Shelby or the Mustang as being an antique auto. As such I deliberately omitted them and other post 1945 cars when forming my remarks. |

Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... I think the AACA has 8 pages on what to look for on the Model A.
I just need to figure out how/when to get our new one in searchable PDF form. |
Re: MAFCA/MARC Judging Standards Committee Chairpersons... TerryO, Post # 10 -
Terry, I fully understand that you think that Shelbys and Mustangs are Antique Automobiles, And I could be wrong; so I would suggest that you ask members of the Horseless Carriage Club of America, and the Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Model T Ford Club of America - ask their members if THEY think that Shelbys and Mustangs are 'Antique Automobiles'. I think most would agree with me. |

AACA.-- ANTIQUE AUTOMOBIE CLIB OF AMERICA As stated in the judging guidelines a vehicle that the organization recognizes and is at least 25 years and older is recognized as an antique vehicle. http://www.aaca.org/images/meet_broc...Guidelines.pdf |
