Progress on my '38 Tonner - part 1
 

I guess that I've never posted any pictures of the work on my '38 one ton truck. So, this is way past due. These pictures start with the tear down and take you through to the chassis rebuild. I've gone a good distance. At the moment I've finished the cab, all of the mechanicals and most of the electrical. I'm now stalled waiting on the finish work and painting of the fenders, running boards and bed.
Since I am limited in the number of attachments per post, I'm going to do this in 2 parts so that I can take you pretty much through to where I am today in the rebuild.

I owned the identical truck for ten years, right down to the color scheme.. In a discussion with James Wagner, author of 'Ford Trucks since 1905' he determined that the chrome windshield frame and grill, along with the 'backwards' color scheme was proof that mine (and yours) was a dealer display model. I have really enjoyed your amazing build. Mine was sold here on the island around 2001 and went to Upstate NY.

Nice looking truck, guess I'll get to see it some time at a local show. Does someone make the wood blocks for the cab? I need a set for my '39 project. Bob
