New T owner

Just picked up my first Touring T. Looking forward to having some fun with the family.

It is titled as a '23 but I believe it is earlier possible early '20. What do you guys think? The serial number on the block is 11246*** which I believe is a '16. It has a 2 man top with straight windshield, 5 piece body, 16" steering wheel, running board brackets are forged steel, seat frames are steel.

Any tips on driving or maintenance?

It might be an early '23. Looks like the low cowl that went from 1915 to early '23.
Look at the drivers side of the block just below the head and towards the rear of the block,
There should be a casting date there.
Nice looking car, have fun.....

The T is a 1921 or 1922 "Model Year", Ford as has all the features of the '1922', wood firewall, metal dashboard, Two man top, straight folding top windshield and other features.

The 1922 (Model Year) ran from August 1921 to September 1922.

A 1923 (Model Year) Ford would have slanting windshield with slanted stanchions, with the top pane only that swivels to open, and 'one-man' top with no irons by the front seat. The new 1923 (Model Year) open cars were built September 1922 to July 1923.

Noted the old tag on your T seems to be a 1921?

Really nicely done too. Great T.

And seems to have a nifty aftermarket steering column bracket to the dashboard, as the 1922 didn't have a bracket there. The Ford factory steering column bracket was introduced later with the metal firewall in the 1923 (Model Year) T's.
