Rear tube shock kit 41 Ford
 

While searching the Internet I found information on this kit to convert 41-48 Fords to tube shocks, is this a Ford kit or aftermarket?, do they still make them.

Ford starting using tube shocks in 48 on some models, maybe even late 47 .The green bock I have shows the parts they used.if you want a copy I will try to post it .

I think it is an aftermarket kit. The lower brackets look similar to the ones ford used when they went to tube shocks, but Ford used a bolt through the X-member for the top mount instead of the clamps that just grab the lips of the X-member.

You can buy similar lower brackets from Pure Hot Rods and most vendors sell a stud to mount on the top member. You will probably have to measure your installed height to get the shocks.

If the rear cross member is boxed like the 46-48 you will need a upper mount that goes all the way through. I had a set machined locally, worked real well.

There is a company that makes an exact kit like the one you show , all you need is the monroe shocks ,i have this on my 40 its great. The company is called pure hot rods ,i think the kit minus shocks was $115.00
