Electric windshield wiper wire gauge

Does anyone know just what gauge wire was used in the Model A Ford for the electric windshield wiper?

Standards do not say.

I am gussing 14 gauge but do not know.

Thanks.

Pluck

Steve, having just checked my early '28 Tudor, the wire is 16 gauge, so installing a 14 gauge will not hurt.

DaWizard,

Could you please post a photo of the wire plus insulation?

Thanks.

My '29 (June/Special) had a vacuum motor when I purchased it, and in the windshield frame I found this wire and terminal flag routed from the wiper mount holes down the passenger side door frame.. and cut off there. By JS info I believe I would be correct with an electric.. the insulation is faded, so not much help on the color.
