Need a part ID, name and hopefully a source please

Part is for a '41 woodie but I think any '41 model and possibly up to '48 will work. On the drivers side along the seam between the top of the front inner fender and the fender itself are a series of carriage bolts that fasten the two pieces together. On some or all of these bolts is a piece of flat sheet metal bent in a U shape that are used to secure the hood pull cable to the fender and keep it from flopping around.
Can anyone help with the correct nomenclature, Ford part number or even better a source for these cable clips. Thnx

If this not a concours vehicle, most hardware stores have a selection of 'loop clamps' that would do the job.

Try calling Roy Nacewicz , they may have the correct part.

I think what you are looking for is 11A-16899-A for center takes 2 or 3 and
11A-16899-B for front takes 1.

Bob thanks for the parts number, I'm searching the net hoping for a photo of the part to confirm the info

That is an Adel clamp, and those have been around for years, early sixties I believe,
May not be factory, but I have used them extensively on old cars.

Some of the old Ford parts manuals contain illustrations of different clips used in manufacture of the early V8s. Part number specific ones may be different though. Adel clamps come in all sorts of sizes and composition. Some are cushioned and some are not. AC Spruce carries some. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/search...+clamp&x=0&y=0

Roy may be a good starting place looking for an original type.

Would it be possible to cut some strips of
thin sheet metal and form your own clips?

I have a large stock of Adel clamps I was just looking for a bit better look. I've been experimenting with making my own and that would be second choice if I can't find originals.

If you have the green Ford parts book see page 367 and 368 for pictures.
