torque tube seal and bearing race What direction does the bearing race and the seal go for removal? Out the front or back? I have everything out including the drive shaft.

Re: torque tube seal and bearing race They both go out the front. Place the drive shaft vertical on a block of wood on the floor with the spline end up. Place a 1&1\16" six-point socket over the spline. Put the torque tube over it and bounce it several times. This will force the seal and the bearing race out. Best to hold a rag over the end to catch them as they come out.

Re: torque tube seal and bearing race When you reinstall the race you will see a dimple on the outside, this must align with a recess in the tube neck to locate the race . I know you know this but just in case .

Re: torque tube seal and bearing race I assume you already have the snap ring out. Not easy the first time. Very easy the sixth time. We had problems.

Re: torque tube seal and bearing race Face the seal so it keeps the oil in the trans, not the rear end.
