1941 Frod Radio Speaker Question

Looking for a 1941 Ford Radio Replacement Speaker-Does anyone know if 46-48 will interchange? I see a few of them for sale. if not-can anyone suggest a source. Macs', Drake, Carpenter, C-G etc.don't offer speakers. I'd be interested in a used one as I can find an outfit to re cone it. Mine has totally wrong-smaller unit jury rigged in it. Thanks in advance

Re: 1941 Frod Radio Speaker Question

Have a '47 OE 6 x 9 speaker .... two-wire with 5-prong radio plug. It's looking for a home.

Re: 1941 Frod Radio Speaker Question

Please see my reply from the radio man fixing my radio:
"Please have the person measure spacing between mounting holes, and include outer dimensions of the speaker. Dimensions for mounting are:

Overall space for an oval speaker: 9" x 7-3/4" (its about 3/32" short of 9")

Mounting stud spacing for oval speaker: 4-1/4" x 5-3/4"

Possibly you can email a picture to [email protected] Is your speaker within these spec's/measurments? If so-what are you asking for the speaker. Thanks in advance
