what's behind a 40 PU seat?

Anyone know for certain what was authentically behind the seat on a '40 pickup?
I realize there were cardboard panels - both left and right - that went between the rear window and door (windlace). But what about beneath the window?
Anyone have a photo?

Thanks!

one narrow strip of cardboard that was tucked under the rear window seal and extended from one corner cardboard insert to the other, attached with two sheet metal screws with uph washers at each end. I will look for a picture or the actual original cardboard

couple of pictures--note the two holes on the window framing and the rather ragged actual cardboard. I do have the panel pictured in my hand

Thanks Alan. That's a huge help. Lebaron places panels in their kit for directly behind the seat. I didn't think that was correct but wanted to be `100% certain.

Thanks again.
