41 unknown bracket

Anyone know what the smaller bracket is for on a 41? I thought it belonged with the other one pictured but I don't think so.

I believe that brace goes side to side on the grill, about mid point.

The Y shaped brace attaches via the bolts in the horizonal brace in the pic and fits up under the hood latch panel.
