Jack stowage

Where is the jack and other tools kept on a Tudor?

wrapped up so they don't rattle and under the back seat unless you have a luggage rack and a trunk which you should get. Wayne

What a coincidence...

Thanks, JW!

That's kind of what I thought, but as Art implies, I didn't have a rear seat until today.

Re: Jack stowage

Wrap them in a towel to stop rattles, but check it often, as sometimes the cloth will create rust, especially is it's in a damp garage.

Thanks, Tom. I was hoping the addition of the rear seat would quiet the noise some. The jack rattling around without some padding around it would likely do the opposite!

Re: Jack stowage

Cut some foam backed carpet to fit under the rear seat. That will cut the heat, noise, and stop the jack rattles.

Good idea. The more insulation the better.

My car has some lovely blue and white 70's era shag carpet under the seat and on the floor of the rumble-seat. Just needs a disco ball to finish off the decor.:D

Curious, where were you going to put it? Wayne
