Bad condenser?? Check the condition of the spark from the coil secondary wire
when this happens.

Yea need some more info:

Does it stumble or die?

Overheats?

Missing fluids?

Does it idling?

Does it driving steady?

Does it up hill?

What has he tried?

Re: Loss of power

How old is his coil? If the coil is on it's way out it could be heating up and not providing adequate spark once the vehicle is at operating temp.

He should also run a compression test to check if his head gasket is still fine. he may be getting blowby with a loss of compression in one or more of the cylinders.

Is his valve valve lash too close? He should run a compression check when it hot.
