Does anyone have a photo of the ORIGINAL flag terminal that is connected to the two yellow wires on the cutout?

Thanks.

This terminal is on a wiring harness I bought years ago at a swap meet. It has a Ford tag w/ number A11647. It does show the 2 wires going to one terminal. I belief it is original but really don't know for sure. Wires are old, somewhat discolored and stiff.

Here is what you are looking for: This is top and bottom view of an original flag and wires. This is from my A7191 and NOTICE how much larger the yellow wire is to the generator, important E28 feature not always noticed. This flag is larger than most other flags due to this wire.

I have also shown here the REPOP that is being done, Notice the wires are the same size...(NOT CORRECT)and the smaller flag...

Mark,

That is what I wanted to see...I am not sure however if the size of the flag terminal changed when the wires were changed from 12 Gauge (yellow with black tracer) to 16 Gauge (yellow wire) in January 1928 or there abouts.

So if someone has a known original flag terminal with the double yellow wire attached, can you please post a photo?

Thanks.

Pluck

John and Iverson,

John, I do not see a Ford part number for A11647.

Those terminals could very well be originals...I do not know!

Just what are the widths of the terminls themselves???

Thanks.

Pluck

Terminal measures .380" in width. The part number is listed in the green bible as wiring harness for a Model A.

I have 4 of these, marked on the tag,..."NOS "A" Gen to Term Box".
I don't think they are for A's, there is no wire going to the starter. The colors
are correct and so is the size, .380". Could be V/8,...also the wire ends for the
terminal box are wrong..

That doesn't seem right for a generator, as even the later generators usually had only two wires. I guess if the generator ran a separate ground it could be correct.

Dudley -
Your wire harnesses appear to be NOS Terminal Box to Instrument panel wiring. And yes many of the original wiring has an orange colored wire to the coil instead of red!
