Are these Ford V8 wheels in this old picture?

Chuck Dempsey posted this picture in another post.

Are these Ford V8 wheels on this Model A taxi?
If so, what year?

Thanks Neil

No. It looks like a solid rim behind the wires and no V8 Ford ever had wheels like this.

In 1962 I was working my way thru college. Managed to cram a 4-year degree into 6 years + wife & son. (Model A went away while I was a senior in High school, not to return until 50+ years later)

Also that is not a fordor cowl.

it is a taxi, look at the cowl, it is the same as 28-29 tudor or coupe not a fordor and the visor too.

I had a wheel just like those once up on a time back in the sixties and gave it away. Have always wondered what it came off of. I got it on an "A" I bought that had 4 different types of wheel on it.

Re: Are these Ford V8 wheels in this old picture?

First of all it is definitely a TAXI, a unique body with four doors and the Coupe/Tudor style cowl instead of the Fordor type cowl. Also the treatment of the roof over the windshield is another TAXI feature.

As to the wheels I am making a guess but there were full wheel style hub caps that fit a 1935 16 inch wire spoke wheel. They were an aftermarket accessory whose name has faded from my memory but might have been Lyons hubcaps. Just a guess!

Center hub and spoke look wrong for a Ford wheel.
